Calcium Drug InteractionsWhen certain medications are taken together with calcium, drug interactions may occur. Some of the medicines that may cause a negative interaction include bisphosphonates, proton pump inhibitors, and tetracycline antibiotics. Drug interactions with calcium could decrease the absorption of the medications or increase the risk of dangerously high calcium levels in the blood.
