Fortical Drug Interactions

If bisphosphonates are taken in conjunction with Fortical, drug interactions could occur. Clinical studies show that people who had taken a bisphosphonate in the past did not respond to Fortical as well as normal. To help minimize the risk of developing Fortical drug interactions, tell your healthcare provider about all medications you are currently taking, including non-prescription ones.

Fortical® (calcitonin salmon nasal spray) can potentially interact with a few different medications, although it is unlikely to interact with most medications. In particular, bisphosphonates, which are often used to treat osteoporosis, may lead to Fortical drug interactions.
