Osteoporosis Home > Osteoporosis and Other Medical Conditions

Osteoporosis is a condition characterized by low bone density. People who have it tend to fracture bones easily. Osteoporosis is not the same thing as arthritis, and people often confuse the two conditions. They have very different symptoms, treatment courses, and outcomes. They are also diagnosed differently. Certain other medical conditions have either direct or indirect links to osteoporosis.
