Miacalcin Nasal Spray: What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?

You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking Miacalcin nasal spray if you have:
 
  • Low blood calcium (hypocalcemia)
  • Nasal sores or problems
  • Any allergies, including allergies to food, dyes, or preservatives.
     
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you are:
 
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all medicines you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

What If I Take an Overdose of Miacalcin Nasal Spray?

It is not known exactly what to expect from an overdose of Miacalcin nasal spray. Based on the way the drug works, potential effects could include:
 
  • Low calcium in the blood
  • Muscle twitches or spasms
  • Seizures
  • An irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia).
     
If you happen to overdose on Miacalcin nasal spray, seek immediate medical attention.
