Actonel With Calcium -- Drug Information

Actonel® With Calcium (risedronate and calcium) is a prescription drug that is used to prevent and treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Although this particular medicine is no longer manufactured, other forms of Actonel are available. The tablets containing Actonel are taken once a week, while the tablets containing calcium are taken on the other six days of the week.
 
Prior to beginning treatment with Actonel With Calcium, the drug's safety information should be reviewed with your healthcare provider. For example, tell your healthcare provider if you have kidney stones or kidney disease, or are planning to have a dental procedure in the near future.
