Fosamax Plus D -- Drug Information

This drug is available by prescription only and contains two active ingredients: alendronate (a bisphosphonate osteoporosis medication) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D). It comes in tablet form and is taken once a week. Indigestion and bone pain are some of the most commonly reported side effects.
Before using Fosamax Plus D, make sure your healthcare provider has up-to-date information on any other drugs you are taking, including vitamins and supplements, as well as any allergies you may have, including to medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives.
