Information About Osteopenia

Osteopenia is a condition in which a person has decreased bone density, but not enough to be diagnosed with osteoporosis. Having osteopenia, however, can increase a person's risk of developing osteoporosis. The condition is typically diagnosed using a bone density test, following a complete medical examination and assessment of other risk factors.
