Reclast Drug Interactions
If certain medications are taken at the same time as Reclast, drug interactions can occur. These interactions may affect the level of medication in your blood or increase your risk of side effects, such as low blood calcium levels or kidney damage. NSAIDs, diuretics, and vancomycin are among the medicines that can cause Reclast drug interactions.
Reclast Drug Interactions: An Overview
Reclast® (zoledronic acid) can potentially interact with a few different medications. Some of the medicines that may lead to Reclast drug interactions include:- Aminoglycoside antibiotics, such as:
- Amikacin (Amikin®)
- Gentamicin
- Kanamycin (Kantrex®)
- Neomycin (Neo-Fradin®)
- Streptomycin
- Tobramycin
- Diuretics, such as:
- Bumetanide (Bumex®)
- Chlorothiazide (Diuril®)
- Chlorthalidone (Thalitone®)
- Ethacrynic acid (Edecrin®)
- Furosemide (Lasix®)
- Hydrochlorothiazide (Esidrix®, HydroDIURIL®, Microzide®, Oretic®)
- Metolazone (Zaroxolyn®)
- Spironolactone (Aldactone®) or spironolactone-HCTZ (Aldactazide®)
- Torsemide (Demadex®)
- Triamterene (Dyrenium®) or triamterene/HCTZ (Dyazide®, Maxzide®)
- Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as:
- Celecoxib (Celebrex®)
- Diclofenac (Cataflam®, Voltaren®)
- Etodolac (Lodine®)
- Ibuprofen (Motrin®, Advil®)
- Indomethacin (Indocin®)
- Ketoprofen (Orudis®)
- Meloxicam (Mobic®)
- Nabumetone (Relafen®)
- Naproxen (Naprosyn®) or naproxen sodium (Aleve®, Anaprox®, Naprelan®)
- Oxaprozin (Daypro®)
- Teriparatide (Forteo™)
- Vancomycin (Vancocin®).
